Tomato or clamato juice is an old standby because the acid in it helps to cut through the skunk musk.If that is all that is available to you,be sure to use lots, soak thoroughly and work it into your pets coat for at least half an hour, and use a pet shampoo to wash it out after, taking at least 15 minutes for a really good rinse.
You still won't be happy with the results, your pet will be orange, and you won't be able to make any more Bloody Marys or Caesars.
You may want to try this recipe out,it is supposed to work very well.
-one quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide
-1/2 cup baking soda
-1 tablespoon pet shampoo
Again, lather and work mixture into your pet's coat for at least 15 min. and rinse for another 10min.Dispose opf any leftover mixture immediately,as it not stable and cannot be stored for later use.
There are also commercial skunk remedies available ne is called Nature's Miracle Skunk Remover, and another is called Odor Mute.Odor Mute is especially handy because it is a powder that you mix with water,so for camping it is very light, doesn't take up much space, and it mixes up quick and easy. The best part is you'll still be able to make those Bloody Marys and/or Caesars!

I'm afraid she's in doggie heaven. She lived a full life though. She was a kind, smart dog who was loved by all she met.
Kinda reminds me of you,Jo,now that I think of it.
