For the US and Canada: it's our turn to play with the clocks and move forward an hour again.

Europe is in three weeks (if I recall - last Sunday of March), and Australia reverses a week later.

Canada here, and this part of the West Coast has been busy putting the clocks forward already. Alarm clocks - check, kitchen appliances - check, wristwatch - check, wall clocks - 2 left. The other half collects watches and at my last very rough count had 70 to deal with....that is still a work in progress!

Yes they change in the early hours of Easter Sunday this year on Sunday 31st March at 0100 hours

IMO I don't see why we need to change the clocks anyhow - why not just leave them at GMT or whatever your Zone is?

At one time, you changed before I did, Jane. We moved forward in 2008 or 2009, and this year, with March having five Sundays, it is a three week split (usually just two).

Exactly!!! I hate DLS with a passion .. especially now when it's 7am and is pitch black out there.
One more week now til it changes back. *sigh*

I agree. I don't mind doing things an hour earlier in the spring and summer if that's what everyone wants. But I object to being told "You've got to get up an hour earlier, but we think you're (a) too lazy to do so and (b) so stupid that, if we can persuade you to play around with your clocks, you won't realize it's an hour earlier".

I got myself into a bit of a tizz in the early hours. I decided to change my boiler clock before I went to bed and as it is an updated version of my old one it ought to be a case of pressing a button and holding it for a few seconds - except nothing happened. I tried and tried and thought that I would need to phone the installers on Tuesday but decided to give it one more chance, and it clicked over. Strange but at least it is sorted.
