Makeup Tips:

* For a luncheon or a daytime wedding wear pastel colors. To make it a little more special, stick to soft colors, but deepen lip color a little and add some pale eye shadow.

* When going out at night, consider applying makeup in a dimly lit room. It gives an idea of the way makeup will look at a party and may encourage heavier application.

* Accessorize with makeup add-ins, such as deeper lip color, foundation and sealer, contouring or bronzing powder for cheekbones, cream eye shadow and even false eyelashes.

* Carry lip color and rice paper in a small evening purse for touchups.

To make your eye liner and lip liner pencils easier to sharpen... freeze them! Unlike regular pencils the "lead" is much softer so when you use the sharpener they just crumble or get mashed. But if you freeze them for a couple of hours they'll sharpen very nicely.
