With the upcoming weddings of BrideLady, butterflysm, Princesspatty, and Sypher, I thought it would be nice if we all chipped in and added our wedding tips here.

BrideLady, butterflysm, Princesspatty, and Sypher (I hope I haven't forgotten anyone) if you could list what kind of wedding you would like that would really help us know what kind of tips to start with.

We are having an outdoor wedding. We are only having 23 guests. So far we have spent less than $1,000. We don't have much money so we figured we had to keep it small. Any advice is welcome but you have to get it in fast. The wedding is in 10 days.

One thing that is inexpensive to do is buy tole and wrap big bows around any large pots you have. Are you having the food catered or are you and your family and friends helping with the food preperations?

We haven't started making any arrangements yet. One thing I know for sure is that we are planning to get married in the Church. I would like a big ceremony, reception, etc. I have a big family so that is probably what will happen.
Any tips and/or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!!

With 15 years of catering experience and one wedding under my belt, I think I can offer some advice

The biggest problem I had as a caterer was the wedding that spent all of their money on 'glitz' and came to me wanting 'steak' on a 'beans and franks' budget.

My biggest wedding suggestion is to decide how many people you want to invite (invite everyone you know!) and decide from there what kind of wedding you can afford.

There's nothing worse than trying to decide who you will invite and who you leave behind. Simple food, done well, is better than lobster without your friends

Let me know what else I can help with!

I found this and thought it was neat!!

Getting married? Here's a fun way to announce it to the world--or at least to the World Wide Web! The Web site http://www.theknot.com, gives couples a chance to create their own wedding Web page, free of charge. On this page, the couple can include short biographies, tell how they met, describe the proposal, list members of the wedding party, and provide pertinent wedding details for guests. Of course, there's also a commercial angle to this site. Couples can register for gifts, plan their honeymoon, etc., but all of this is optional.

Very cool Sandalwood. With so many people on the Internet, I think it's a great tip, one that I wouldn't have thought of. Thank you.

You will not find either of those people at FunTrivia any longer. If you open your Personal Message facility you can be sent details of how you can find them.
