I have a sign in my kitchen that says:

Complaints To The Cook Are Hazardous To Your Health

and one on my fridge that says:

Broken Cookies Contain Fewer Calories

Here are a few of my favorites:

There are two dinner choices...Take it or leave it!

Dinner's ready when the smoke alarm goes off!

I can make many meals...but I like making reservations best.

This one was in the kitchen of the office where I used to work...

Your mother doesn't work here. Clean up after yourself.

I like the two choice one - Take it or leave it.

Dem were the days. When I've used it here, people look at me like I'm mad, then turn back to their kids with a menu and even dash to the supermarket if they don't have what the kids want in the house.

Weird.

No, honey, I don't know why kids are spoilt today.

I know what you mean Donnar. When I was growing up we weren't given choices (Well we were but one of the choices was "Or Else"!) and my parents didn't feel they owed me an explanation for everything. That is the same way I'm raising my kids and they are by no means spoiled. They understand that I am the person in charge. Or at least they let me think I'm in charge!

LOL JoJo...My family probably thinks that our kitchen really is out of order no more than it's been used since we opened our shop!

I've got a good story that goes along with this...

A friend of mine built her own home and the kitchen, of course, had all new appliances. About a year later she had a bit of outpatient surgery and I went over to help her out. I was cooking dinner and turned the oven on to pre-heat while I went in to check on her. Before too long I started smelling smoke and went to investigate. Sure enough, the kitchen was filled up with smoke and there was the most awful smell. I couldn't figure it out, because I hadn't acutally started cooking anything yet. Come to find out it was the styrofoam packing material in the oven that was on fire! In the entire year that my friend had lived in this house she had NEVER use the oven! IN A YEAR! I couldn't believe it!

My mom's got one in her kitchen that says, "The rooster may crow, but the hen lays the eggs." Heh.
