My husband LOVES to go to the town dump (it's where he goes to get the local gossip) so he takes responsibility for taking the full bags our of the wastebaskets and taking them away until there's enough to warrant a trip.

Unfortunately, he's terrible about replacing the old bag with a new. Conequently, I'll go to toss something and no bag.

My solution: put 3 or 4 empty bags in the bottom of the basket before putting in the one you'll be using. That way, when he takes out the full one, he sees the next one RIGHT THERE !

Thanks for the great tip ethel. As a former building administrator for ITT, the cleaning crew was one of my responsibilities and this was a standard policy. I now do the same at home, just like you do.
