This game is forcing me to reflect upon my poor scores in certain dailies I really don't like. It's unfortunate, but necessary.

I'm keeping a tally at my number of failed attempts at getting past Obscurity - up to 25 (and still counting) ... can anyone beat that? Hang in there! I just went to my history and counted it. Got it on my 27th try.

Current standings have three players in chapter 3, nine in chapter 2 and 28 in chapter 1. Everyone from 41st place onward is still in the prologue - so no one should worry about being behind. The road to Ascension is a long one!
Thanks so much for the update!

I've decided to save a lot of bother and have strapped a mattress to my back for the obvious waits that are going to occur. Despite looking like an overfed turtle, I feel sure this accessory will pay dividends in the future.

The road to Ascension is a long one! I have an idea. How about creating a link to a page with those stats? People can check on that and see how everyone is doing overall. I don't mean detailed stats, just what you said -- how many are in this or that chapter.

Sounds like a good idea, I think I may well copy that. I shall equip myself with a flask of coffee, chocolate and a bottle or two of wine as well. Might as well make the waits comfy. Careful of that wine, Chris. (You may discover why later.)

Got it on my 27th try. Thanks Dagny1! Perhaps your encouragment helped. I got through on the 28th attempt :-) Finally a set with lots of 'what is the middle name of?' and 'when was x born?' rather than 'which of the following very obscure lyrics is NOT in this very obscure song?'. Onwards to what seems to be another headache according to some of the posts a little earlier...

Thanks Barbarini - the upside is that I'm now 3rd in the Obscurity monthly standings :-)
So you heard my blubbering then? I thought it was confined to a 10km radius.

At last I've avoided Wes's snares and made my way out of the Prologue. I'm becoming paranoid, though, reading every instruction a dozen times to see if I can detect any horrid hidden meaning.
Surdoux, may I suggest Vaseline?

I print every screen. By the time I have finished, I should have the makings of a decent-sized novel.
