I wouldn't know the answer for sure, but it seems the majority of questions are quiz-writing related, so it fits better here. It is also possible that the moderators here decided they could monitor this thread for Terry, who I am sure is always super busy. This would be one less thread for him to monitor if someone else took it over. Of course, I don't know for sure, so don't take my words for sure, but those are my best guesses.

mm? maybe because Quoting from the Ascension FAQ page:
Is there an alternative to the tasks that require X points per day?
Several players have reported that they could not play for high point scores per day, either to simple time reasons or due to health issues. In order to accommodate these players and allow them to enjoy Ascension Quest, an alternative requirement is provided for all endurance stages that ask for more than 10,500 points per day.
This alternative can either be a completely different requirement (e.g. authoring a quiz or playing a game score) or it can be a "persistence" stage
and this from same page:
Does the game involve authoring?
Yes - considering that this game is supposed to challenge you in all aspects of FunTrivia, there is a small authoring component. If you're not much of an author, you can get by with writing just two quizzes - one will give you a variety of subcategories to choose from and the other will have to meet some requirements regarding the title. If you like authoring, however, some stages will give you additional options to get around difficult or lengthy requirements by writing a quiz. Like many things in the game, it's up to you!
So, it's definitely a part of the quest itself, even if it's not necessarily a predominant feature.

Quiz writing is a very small part of the quest. If you look through the thread there are other issues which are more vexing.
As for who monitors this thread, Wes is the one who can give answers and address problems in this game, so moving it out of the Feedback forum shouldn't be necessary.

Yes, it's a small part. I don't think there's anything wrong with having a quiz writing thread with a sub cat of Ascension quest, but I also think there should be one for the general game playing itself. I thought we had one (but maybe it was this one? lol) but I can't find it (mind you we can only check back so far). Maybe somebody could start a new one and put the posts that are non quiz writing related into it? Sounds like a lot of work I know (maybe the opposite would work better: if this is indeed the original thread, movie it back and move the quiz related posts to "this" one? Dunno.)

This is the original thread. Since it only has gotten to page 30 in two and a half years, and the first 23 pages were in the first 12 months, there's no reason to start two new threads about it.

Whatever makes the most people happy. I personally don't care where the thread shows up, but some people above don't seem to like it in quiz authoring, was just offering a possible (though work intensive) solution. Good to know this IS the original thread though (I thought for a moment I was losing my mind ... and now I've confirmed it lol)

Resurrecting this to congratulate pagea who has reached the level of Ascended, Rank I. This is a rare achievement - one I've been trying to get to for close on five years and failing.
Well done to him. Without checking, I think he's probably only the second to do it, with eyhung being the first.

That's about right, MrN, but you missed out the bit about having to win a million in the lottery first.

To ascend, you need to do the nearly impossible. To reach rank 1, you need to do it in seventeen different ways. Thanks for letting me know what I have to look forward to once I finish my current task.
