Here I am getting ready to go out of town and my bunny as an eye infection. A friend of mine will look after her while I am gone. This made me think about all you parents out there and wondered how many times one of your childen come down with the sniffles just as you are about to out or go on vacation. Has this ever happened to you?

JoJo, about 6 years ago, my daughter, grandaughter, and I were going to Texas to see my dad, who was in the hospital with cancer. The night before we left, my grandaughter was taken to the hospital with pneumonia. She could not travel for 48hours. Since we were on a tight time schedule,we could not go to Texas. I did not have a car at the time, and had to rely on my daughter. It was hard on all of us, especially because my dad passed away one week later.But we had talked and knew we loved each other, so it wasn't as devestating as it could have been. With kids you never know. Hope your bunny gets better. Have fun on your trip, you deserve it. gammab

10 years ago, our oldest daughter got chicken pox just 2 weeks
before out trip to Czechoslovakia to see my husband's parents.
She got over it in time (just barely) but our youngest daughter hadn't had them yet. We even took her to the doctor to see if we could get her some kind of vaccination to prevent her from catching chicken pox but was told it would be impossible. So we just had to hope and pray she wouldn't come down with it prior to our leaving.

Wouldn't ya just know it, after we changed planes in London to get to Prague, she started to get sick on the airplane. As soon as we got to Prague, we put her to bed and the next morning she
was covered! Not a good way to spend your 1st week in Europe.

However, it didn't stop me from seeing the city. Luckily, her
grandparents were more than happy to babysit her while we saw
the city and the beautiful country.
