She's suggesting (in violation of the politics rule) that Trump should be removed from the presidency. However, that wouldn't solve the problem of the inadequate Who Am I description because Trump is ALWAYS going to be the 45th president of the United States, even if he left office tomorrow.

I was making a clever (I thought) comment, and not engaging in political discussion. I'm sorry if you felt it was in violation of the no politics rule.

Clever but snarky was how I interpreted it. No harm done.

Reminder for when I get home and can access this:

Michel Foucault = French philospher; sociologist; historian - should be philosopher, not philospher

Diana, by the way, in on the list of entries that won't come up for me when I enter the name in the search field.

That's one of the ones I am still trying to get at - when I enter Isley, the system only shows me Bob Paisley. Not quite the same thing!

Sorry, I'm getting old and forgetful and I can't remember if I already posted this or not... I didn't find it in the last four pages, anyway...

Rembrandt is just listed as one word, rather than his full name, Rembrandt van Rijn. (I think I'd leave out the "Harmenszoon" in the middle.)

This one I don't know if you want to change or not... Mantovani is just listed as one name, but that's all he used in his public persona. But he did have a first name, Annunzio. I see he's listed as just Mantovani on Wikipedia, not that that's controlling.

I'm sorry to inform whoever wrote this one, but there are no famous Belarusians:

Belarusian famous early publisher in Eastern Europe

Your answer: Francysk Skaryna

I'd like FT to ban the use of the word "famous" from all quiz questions simply because it's a meaningless buzzword. One man's famous is another man's totally obscure. William F. Buckley once couldn't recall Oprah Winfrey's name, referring to her as, "that lady who is alternately fat and thin."

Your statement that there are no famous Belarusians is patently false - it just means you don't know them. Zhores Ivanovich Alferov, for one, shared the 2000 Nobel Prize in physics, so fans of those awards know his name. Skarnya is famous enough to have streets named after him, and awards bearing his name given to two different awards for service to the arts. I propose changing the description to read: Belarusian 16th century printer of early biblical texts using Cyrillic script

I think the person who set up a number of these entries on the database, which seem to have come from the names of people whose images appear on postage stamps in their native country, felt that most players would not know them, and wanted to emphasise that they are indeed famous in their part of the world. That is, after all, part of the point of the game - to learn about people who are household names in some circles, but of whom you may never have heard. And if you don't want to learn about them, you can just develop your familiarity with the typical names associated with the various nationalities. (Which will lead you astray when the family moves to a new country, of course.) That said, it is redundant to include the word in this game, as their fame in some circles is a given. However, since I can only access the database by entering people's names, I can only rewrite them when they are drawn to my attention. There is no way of making a blanket deletion!

I hope that your statement was meant to be an attempt at a joke. Even the most insular of us are likely to have heard of Louis B Mayer, Irving Berlin, Marc Chagall and Olga Korbut, all of whom were born in the country now known as Belarus. There are many more.

Yes indeed. Shatner recorded at least eight music albums, including a parody on both Bowie's "Major Tom" and the "Star Trek" original TV series.

Some of the other Star Trek actors also recorded one or more songs.
