Having trouble choosing the right color for new your car? Below you will find what each color of a car says about your personality. If you're not in the market for buying a new car, tell us what color car you own and if you think the following is true or false.

Brown: The choice of a cautious, conservative, often introverted personality likely to drive the good bargain.

White: It's the choice of a neat, compulsive motorist who can be both critical as well as fussy.

Blue: You like consistency in your life. You're likely to be conservative, shy, and introverted.

Green: A hot fashion color that puts an emphasis on the environment, but the deeper the green, the more conservative and traditional person you are.

Teals: The choice of a trend-setting extrovert who craves attention and desires admiration.

[b]Neutrals: The colors of non-commitment and chosen by someone who doesn't want to be conspicuous or stand out from the crowd.

Metallics: Chosen by confidant yet understated extroverts.

Black: The choice of a serious, self-confident sophisticate.

Yellow: The hue for active, artistic people and the individual willing to try something new.

Hi

I drive a Metallic Green but it definately not conservative, though traditional is probably right....However I did pick Hubby's car and that's really yellow...suits both of us we are always willing to try something new.

Hi dumpling, thanks for your post. I hope we'll get more reponses so we can see how accurate the car color and your personality is. You and your hubby sound like a cool couple.

Well I guess that is part right, part wrong.... really not sure about the shy and introverted part

Sue, for someone who's been running around Disneyland dressed as a nun, I'm not sure I'd call you shy and introverted, either! Not sure any of the Fab Five really are!

From my first car through to present....

1. Beige, not my choice - it was a company car.
2. White - I wanted blue but they were out of stock
3. White - again all they had apart from a yucky metallic gold colour for which they wanted extra for the metallic - no way!
4. Red - made a change from white
5. Metallic blue - ex-demonstrator so no choice of colour
6. Red - can't remember why, all they had available
7. Blue - yes I actually chose the colour on this car!

The color of my car is White: It's the choice of a neat, compulsive motorist who can be both critical as well as fussy. Hmmm, I don't that describes my personality very well.

my car is green..

the description fits me perfectly! I'm a big ol' tree hugger here! I'm the resident environmentalist where I work. Also, the shade is mid-tone to dark , and I can be slightly conservative.

Another understated extrovert here.

My car is a metallic--the color is Champagne. That's me--bubbly, sparkling, and effervescent

Yeah, where's RED? Mine's a deep, dark red. Some would call it burgundy, but I don't think the purple's in there for that. The 'official' color on the sales invoice was 'Black Cherry'. But it's red. And inside - the whole cabin is a regular red; velour upholstery and headliner and door panels, and all red other stuff. So? What's that mean, JoJo? What am I?

I've never chosen mine - they've picked me - but my dream one would be a bright yellow beetle (actually spot on), but unfortunately I'm stuck with a white Rover - and people keep thinking it's a cop car when I'm behind them in the dark.

Now the inside of my car - that says something about me (I realised the other day, and thought about starting a thread on it) - I found essay receipts in there the other day from being a student - I graduated in July 99! I'm not one of these people whose car is an extension of their office or house - so why is my car such a mess?

Well, how do you like that, the source Leatrice Eiseman, director of the Eiseman Center for Color Research and Training in Seattle, in "World Leader" forgot to include the color red. I can tell you this, Psychologists say that colors have personalities all their own. Yellow is inviting, blue is calm, and red is passionate, and so on. So, Gunslinger and Terry, just think of yourselves as being passionate.
