Last week two players were still undefeated after 7 wks: PaulE and ozzz2002, which equalled the all-time record for an undefeated start to an FT-PL season. That record was set 10 years ago in the 2003-04 (and subsequently equalled on three separate occasions).
ozzz2002 was beaten by FussBudget to see his undefeated start to the season of 7 games come to an end. Nonetheless, he retains 1st place and equalled the all-time record. PaulE won again to extend his undefeated run to 8 games, which broke the all-time record start to a season! He retains 2nd place.
With that win FussBudget breaks his duck, leaving George95 as the only player still looking for his first win .. kevinatilusa is no longer the only player without a draw.
Both paper_aero and N-Bomb continue to extend their spoon-less streaks (see below) .. paper_aero ties the all-time FT-PL record of 48 spoon-less weeks (see next post).
One FT-PL record fell this week, and two were equalled. One more will fall next week if paper_aero avoids the spoon. |

paper_aero extends his spoon-less spreak to 49 wks, an all-time record for the FT Premiership. He replaces ozzz2002 at the top of the pile.
Last week FussBudget broke his duck when he beat ozzz2002. This week George95 also broke his duck with a win over ozzz2002, who slips from 1st to 3rd with back-toback losses.
PaulE extends his record-breaking undefeated start to the season to 9 games. He retains 2nd place.
Dizart has now won three straight; and dg_dave has lost four straight. N-Bomb extends his spoon-less streak to 43 weeks. |

Everyone from 1st through to 18th moved up or down the table except for Howie72 and gtho4, who played in each other in a dour 4-4 draw to retain 8th and 9th places on the ladder.
After 11 weeks PaulE is still undefeated and, for the first time this season, has a go out front. Three more weeks and he'll equal the all-time FT-PL record of 14 weeks set by Sypher way back in the distant past .. in the 2005-06 season.

After 11 weeks PaulE is still undefeated and, for the first time this season, has a go out front. Three more weeks and he'll equal the all-time FT-PL record of 14 weeks set by Sypher way back in the distant past .. in the 2005-06 season. He finished last year with 2 wins as well, so he could tie it next week unless it's a strictly 1-year record. No one has ever looked at this streak across seasons. All records are season-only records. One day, if someone has the energy and time, we may look at some records across seasons. The only problem is finding the threads in the archives; as Terry zapped a decades worth of forum threads last year.

The top-of-the-table clash paper_aero vs. PaulE (2nd vs. 1st) was won 7-6 by PaulE, who extends his lead out front to 5 points, which is the biggest margin by any leader this season .. illiniman14 won his fourth straight game to draw level on points with paper_aero.
Put aside the two leaders and we find that no-one kept their spot from last week, apart from George95 in 16th place.
LeoDaVinci won to end his losing streak at four straight. It also ended his win-less streak of 9 games, which was nowhere near the all-time record of 14 games without a win .. kevinatilusa lost, to end his streak of draws at four. He fell one short of the all-time record set by szabs in the 2011-12 season (five straight).
After 12 weeks PaulE is still undefeated. The all-time FT-PL record-run is 14 weeks, set by Sypher in the 2005-06 season.
paper_aero continues to extend his record-breaking spoon-less streak; it now stands at 52 weeks .. ditto N-Bomb, who's now at 46 weeks (at the start of the season the all-time FT-PL record was 48 weeks, held by srini701). Both paper_aero and N-Bomb have some way to reach the FunTrivia record for any comp of 72 wks, set by DanielPoulson in the FAPL comp across three seasons: 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12. Both of them need to remain spoon-less for the rest of the season. |

1st vs last saw PaulE (undefeated) face-off against dg_dave (one win all season). It ended a 6-8 win to dg_dave to bring to an end the undefeated run of PaulE. He retains first place as he had a 5 point lead and, as LeoDaVinci had back-to-back wins (before that he was win-less in nine), dg_dave doesn't move off the last rung.
paper_aero and illiniman14 both won to retain equal 2nd place .. for illiniman14 it was his 5th straight win -- five more and he'll equal the all-time record set by Sypher way back in 2005-06.
We may have a change at the top next week as the first three are now separated by just 2 points! Put aside the three out front and the three at the rear, no-one in between kept their spot from last week .. kevinatilusa falls to 15th place, a new low-water mark for the season. He's now win-less in seven.

There is no change out front .. PaulE won and 2nd (paper_aero) and 3rd (illiniman14) both lost.
Last week we saw the undefeated run of PaulE come to an end. This week two spoon-less streaks came to an end: paper-aero collected a spoon to end his streak at 53 weeks across 3 seasons, a new all-time FT-PL record .. ditto N-Bomb, he collected a spoon to end his streak at 47 weeks, which is one short of the previous all-time record, set by srini701, which was also across 3 seasons.
Despite the loss, paper_aero retained his spot on the podium (he slipped from 3rd to 2nd). This loss allows PaulE to skip away to a 4 pt margin out front.
The loss by illiniman14 brings to an end his streak of five straight wins. LeoDaVinci won again to make it three straight (before that he'd lost four straight to drop onto the last rung 9 points adrift of 11th place). With those three wins he's still in the bottom three, but is now just 2 pts behind 11th place.
kevinatilusa is now win-less in eight. The FT-PL Record Book has been updated for the two spoon-less streaks (see post below). |

Once again there's no change out front .. PaulE lost but retains 1st place and Dizart retains 2nd place with his third straight win; paper_aero and illiniman14 swapped 4th and 3rd on the podium.
LeoDaVinci is slowly climbing up the table .. he was in last place four weeks ago. Three straight wins and a draw this week see him in 16th place. He was a no-show this week but scored a draw as paper_aero collected a wooden spoon (which is the default score).
Another draw and kevinatilusa is now win-less in nine.. he's drawn six of those games.
Looks like it's a sign of early dementia .. this post was ready on Tuesday morning but I forgot to submit it! I realised something was wrong when, today, I started the FT-PL results for Round 16; and I couldn't find the post for last week's results. One thousand apologies. |

Once again there's no change out front .. this week there's no change from positin #1 all the way through to #8 .. ditto the three spots at the rear of the field.
- Dizart won again to make it four straight.
- kevinatilusa is now win-less in ten.
- dg_dave and N-Bomb have lost three straight.
- George95 has climbed into 12th place, his highest position since week 1. He was running last after six weeks.
- paper_aero and Sypher score their first weekly win, which leaves wwe84 and N-Bomb still looking for their first.
- illiniman14 is the lone ranger, the only player without a wooden spoon.
