Seems there is some birth imminent. The Queen will be relieved as she can go on her hols, and Wills will be pleased to be a dad. Watch this space!

It would be most fitting if it actually happens today, 22nd July as that is the birthday of a most esteemed member of this site. smile

Anyone we know? tongue

There's a free-for-all on the pavement outside the hospital. According to BBC news, she's still in labour, and I bet she's thinking, make the (insert expletive of your choice) wait! smile

Let us put it this way, the person concerned has 722 as a suffix to their name, oh and as another clue, has the highest post count on the forums, currently 117,100. smile

In fact she probably had it a few hours ago and is enjoying watching the media of the world slowly melting in 33C degrees of heat!

Seems they waited quite awhile to announce it? I just read he was born at 4:24 p.m., I'm assuming that's London time.

Darn I was hoping for a girl since my name was the favourite among betters for if it were a girl.

Well, for me, my eldest great-nephew has always been nicknamed "Prince William" so half-hoping the new Prince will be called Elliot, so I have the set, although I highly doubt it laugh laugh laugh Congratulations to all concerned smile

As our new little prince shares a birthday with the Great Gatsby let us hope they include David amongst the names. smile

I think the Queen Mum had a brother called David, so it is in the family. Mind you, Edward VIII was David so that might have bad connotations.

Edward VIII was known as David to his family as has been said but it could still be a middle name. After all, the Queen called one of her sons Edward.

How very good that would be for names: John Paul George Richard Cambridge! Clever use of names from the 60's, our finest hour!

lol Lones! I think you're right and Prince Albert won't happen. I don't think England's ready for another King John yet even if it's 800 years since the last one ;-)

Betting is strong George. I think they are even taking bets on the name and sex of this baby's first born! smile They are certainly taking bets on whether he will go to St Andrew's University, the same as his parents.

Now Andrew might well figure in the names due to where they met.
