Suze gave it to Tad. She fell into poison oak at a pool party, and then Tad asked her to dance. After that, Suze had "oozy, scaly hands" and Tad had the same condition on his neck!

2. What is the name of Suze's favourite stepbrother?

Answer: Doc (David)

Doc is twelve years old and very intelligent. Sleepy is probably Suze's next favourite, as he sometimes gives her rides in his car (the Rambler), but she doesn't like Dopey at all! There isn't a "Happy" or a person named Joe in the book.

3. What is the name of the ghost in Suze's bedroom?

Answer: Jesse

She actually quite fancies Jesse, though she won't admit it! Jesse died 150 years ago, on the way to his wedding, and has stayed in Suze's room ever since.

Suze isn't best pleased, because she doesn't mind Jesse. Suze said that ghosts aren't always punctual because when she wanted -and needed- her Dad, he never came, but when she least expected it, he was there.

Red was actually Doc, Suze's little step-brother. The woman who kept turning up in the middle of the night to Suze was actually his heart-broken mother. Doc blamed himself for the death of his mother, but it wasn't his fault.
