Situated on the coastline of the Gulf of Mexico, Galveston was devastated by a hurricane on September 8th, 1900, with many thousands of people losing their lives. Nowadays, the city is a tourist resort with numerous beaches among its attractions.
2. Which North Carolina city is part of the Piedmont Triad, alongside Winston-Salem and High Point?

Answer: Greensboro

The Piedmont Triad is one of the major transportation and manufacturing hubs of the Atlantic coast region of the USA. Greensboro was named after Major General Nathaniel Greene and was established in 1808.
3. Which city is home to the University of Florida?

Answer: Gainesville

The University of Florida first held classes at Gainesville in 1906. The soft drink Gatorade was invented in the city, which is the county seat of Alachua County.
4. In which Colorado city was the Coors Brewing Company established in 1873?

Answer: Golden

Originally called Golden City, Golden was the territorial capital of Colorado from 1862 to 1867. Located about 15 miles west of Denver, the city is home to the Colorado School of Mines and the Coors Brewery, the world's largest brewery on a single site.

Located in Ontario County, Geneva lies at the northern end of Seneca Lake. Originally called Kanadasaga, the city and surrounding area are renowned for wine-making.

Answer: Glendale

Located about 9 miles from downtown Phoenix, Glendale likes to call itself "Arizona's Antique Capital". The University of Phoenix Stadium opened in 2006 but isn't actually part of that establishment; the University is the corporate sponsor of the stadium and acquired the naming rights to it in September 2006.

Situated in Harrison County on Mississippi's Gulf Coast, Gulfport was hit by the Category 5 Hurricane Camille on August 17th, 1969, and again by the Category 5 Hurricane Katrina on August 29th, 2005. The city is part of the Gulfport-Biloxi Metropolitan Area.
10. Which city is nicknamed the "Electric City" because of five nearby hydroelectric dams on the Missouri River?

Answer: Great Falls

Great Falls is located in Cascade County, Montana, and was named for a number of large waterfalls encountered in the area by the Lewis and Clark Expedition of the early 19th century. The city itself was founded in 1883, with the Black Eagle Dam providing the city with hydroelectric power from 1890.
