Webosaurs Trivia Quiz

Webosaurs is one of the less-known virtual worlds on the internet so I thought it deserved a quiz. Good luck everyone!

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. To become a Blogosaur in the game, which of these requirements are you NOT required to meet as a blog owner?

Answer: Be located in the United States

Both blog owners and authors can receive the status of Blogosaur. All blogs that meet the three above specifications will be featured on the blogroll on the Webosaurs Blog. In addition, all Blogosaurs are allowed into a testing world which contains new features not yet released to all players.
2. Webosaurs also have another group, identified by a 'B' badge in their profiles, that prove their dedication by doing what?

Answer: Writing blogs

Webosaurs also have a group called 'Blogosaurs'. They either have to open their own blog and post once a week for a month or become an author on another blog and post twice a week for a month. Blogosaurs can be identified by the 'B' badge on their profiles.
3. Which Webosaurs main character has a section on the blog called 'True Science'?

Answer: Pterry

Pterry's True Science is posted approximately twice a month on the Webosaurs blog. Pterry is also linked to science by regularly hosting a quiz party on the subject. Pterry's body is similar to that of a pterosaur.
4. In the game, who are Protectosaurs?

Answer: Players decided by the moderators

Two new Protectosaurs are crowned every week from standard users who have been picked by the moderators and are worthy of the status of Protectosaur. Protectosaurs meet every week to discuss issues and help to improve the game experience.
5. At the end of the tutorial video, Pterry gives you three tips. Which of these is NOT one of them?

Answer: Attend all the parties

When you create your character, there will be an icon in the bottom-right corner. Pterry will give you three tips to help you explore the island. This is one of the first things new dinos watch.
6. According to the blog, who is the oldest dinosaur on Webosaurs?

Answer: Rexxy/Theropods

Rexxy and the Theropods lived through the Early Triassic to the Cretaceous which makes them the longest living group of dinosaurs in the Mesozoic. Theropods were the only meat-eating dinosaurs because Pterosaurs are technically not a dinosaur. In any food chain, you have the plant eaters and the meat eaters. Scientifically, it would make sense that the meat-eaters would have been around the longest.

This has been mentioned on the Daily Dino Fact section of the blog.
7. As well as having rooms when you start your adventure on Webosaurs, you have to unlock some rooms. Which unlockable room was made available first?

Answer: Jungle Beach

Gushing Geyser and Webo Ridge previously had to be unlocked by finding scrolls. Jungle Beach required the player to find the anchor hidden on the island. Once they gain it, they will have it as a cave item. The Understory Layer had to be unlocked by collecting letters but was released a lot more recently then Jungle Beach.
8. Every Easter, Bunnysaurus hosts a party on Webosaurs. Which type of dinosaur is he?

Answer: Horns

Users are encouraged to form search parties to find Bunnysaurus as part of a 3-day Easter party at the end of March each year. Horns, one of the four main characters in the game, is a triceratops and so is Bunnysaurus.
9. The Webosodes around the island are hosted by which wildlife presenter?

Answer: Nigel Marven

Marven spent his time from university to his late thirties in Bristol attending Bristol University and once he graduated he switched his occupation to working for the BBC Natural History Unit. During that time, he took part in a 12-year paired project with David Attenborough, a fellow wildlife presenter he admires.

In 1998, aged 38, he worked for ITV and he was asked to produce wildlife programs as well as presenting them.
10. Ole Smithy is a triceratops who owns an armory in Croc Peninsula. Which suit of armor is free?

Answer: Leather

Armor used to be the only wearable item in Webosaurs, but now clothes can be worn exclusively by members. Each suit of armor consists of a helmet, the shoulders, the chestplate, the thigh, the forearms and the lower leg. Non-members cannot buy any suits or armor above bone. Players are also required to buy all cheaper sets of armor before buying a more expensive suit.
