Answer: Statue of Liberty

The Statue of Liberty is located on Liberty Island, New York City, New York. It is a symbol of liberty in the United States. The Liberty Bell is also a symbol of liberty and is famous for having a crack in it. The Betsy Ross House was said to be the house of the person who made the first American flag, Betsy Ross.

Independence Hall is where the Continental Congress met and wrote up the Declaration of Independence.
2. What food is Philadelphia famous for?

Answer: Cheese Steaks

The cheese steak is very popular in Philadelphia. It has onions and melting cheese in it. The other answers also exist in Philly but none is the food product it's famous for.

Answer: Southeast

The city is located more east than south. To drive to Delaware from Philly takes about 30 minutes and from Philly to New Jersey takes about 10 minutes on average. It's basically on the border with two other states.

The Continental Congress of the mid-1770s met in Philadelphia. The place they met at is called Carpenters' Hall for the first meeting. In the second meeting, they met at the Pennsylvania State House.

Philadelphia was far from being the first city to be settled in the US. The first city in the continental US to be settled by Europeans was in Florida. Juan Ponce de Leon settled in St. Augustine in 1513 and that is said to be the first recorded settlement in the US.

After that, many other settlements followed. Philadelphia was home to the first library in the US (Library Company of Philadelphia, started in 1731), the first hospital in the US (Pennsylvania Hospital, started in 1751), the first medical school in the US (Perelman School of Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania, started in 1765), the first stock exchange in the US (Philadelphia Stock Exchange, started in 1790), first zoo in the US (Philadelphia Zoo, started in 1874), and the first business school in the US (Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania).

There were many other firsts.

The Lenni Lenape signed a treaty with William Penn to share the land. They were also part of the Algonquin Indians.

Snow is actually pretty common in the suburbs. However, in the city areas the snow turns to rain before it reaches the ground. There is an average of 20.5 inches of snow each year according to online sources.
9. What does the word Philadelphia mean?

Answer: Brotherly Love

The word Philadelphia comes from the words "philos" (loving) and the word "adelphos" (brother). These come from ancient Greek. This is why Philly is sometimes called "The City of Brotherly Love".
10. What is the sister city of Philadelphia in China?

Answer: Tianjin

Other sister cities of Philadelphia are: Florence, Italy; Tel Aviv, Israel; Torun, Poland; Incheon, South Korea; Douala, Cameroon; and Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. Philly also has three partnership cities: Kobe, Japan; Abruzzo, Italy; and Aix-en-Provence, France.

A sister city and a partnership city are both cities that trade with another. A sister city, however, has a closer trade partnership than a partnership city.
