Australian colloquialisms are renowned for their colourful turn of a phrase and clever wordplay. Hopefully, you'll find this small sample amusing and informative. (Aussie is pronounced 'Ozzie'. See the end comments for further explanation of my title)

Not only does the island of Bali have stunning scenery, its inhabitants are renowned as being some of the friendliest people on the planet. Bali is one of my favourite places to visit and I thought I'd share some of it with you here.

Here is a collection of little known facts and trivia that hopefully make you think "Mmmm, why didn't I know that?" The questions are not based on any particular theme but you might find them all interesting.

Perhaps surprisingly for such a dry continent, Australia is very ornithologically diverse with some 760 unique species. Sadly, many have become threatened or endangered since the arrival of European settlers.
