It was the second single release from the album, the first being "Saturday Night's All Right for Fighting". The chorus went "Well, it's a-one, two, a-pull off my shoes, Three, four, get out on the floor, Five, six, come get your kicks down on the corner of Lincoln and a-Forty-Six". "Waitin' in School" was Ricky's sixth Top Twenty US single. Later the same year he had his first Number One single with "Poor Little Fool". "Be-Bop Baby" was a 1957 Number Three single for Ricky. 5. I've just come out of the bank on the corner and there are four lads asking me where they can find a fireman with a clean machine. "Not in my street," I say. Can you direct them to the right place?

From Quiz My Street Is Alive With The Sound Of Music

Answer: Penny Lane

"Penny Lane" reached number two on the UK chart in 1967. It was number one for one week on the US pop chart the same year. "Penny Lane" brought to an end a run of 11 consecutive number one hits on the UK chart. If it had not been kept off the top spot by "Release Me" by Engelbert Humperdinck, The Beatles would have had 18 consecutive number one hits on the UK chart. If you have a US promo single copy of "Penny Lane" with the added piccolo trumpet at the end of the song similar to the version on "Anthology 2", get it valued as it is extremely rare.

6. Originally titled "(Get Your Kicks On) Route 66", the song was composed in 1946 by Bobby Troup while he and his wife, Cynthia, drove along the road on the way to California. Which artist was the first to release the song the same year in the US?

Answer: Nat King Cole

The year 1946 was a banner year for Nat King Cole. He released "The Christmas Song" as The King Cole Trio as well as standards such as "Paper Moon" and "(Get Your Kicks On) Route 66". He released four albums as the King Cole Trio between 1944 and 1949. In 1956 he debuted "The Nat King Cole Show", becoming the first black artist to host a television variety show. Nat had a unique voice that he attributed to smoking up to three packs of menthol cigarettes per day. He was only 45 when he passed due to lung cancer in 1965. Perry Como had a big hit in 1946 with "Prisoner of Love". "Sioux City Sue" was a 1946 release by Bing Crosby and The Jesters and "Day By Day" was done by Ol' Blue Eyes the same year.

7. Wilbert Harrison hit the Number One spot on both the US R and B and Billboard charts in 1959 with "Kansas City". Which street corner is mentioned in the song?

10. Oh no! The car carrying Stevie Nicks has broken down between Newark-on-Trent and King's Lynn. She has called breakdown recovery, but which A road did she tell them she was stuck at the "Edge Of"?

From Quiz Travel The "A" Roads Of UK With A Song

Answer: A17

"Edge Of Seventeen" (1982) was written by Nicks following the death of her uncle Jonathan and John Lennon in the same week in December 1980. The credit for the title belongs to Jane Petty, first wife of musician Tom, who had remarked to Nicks that they had met "at the age of seventeen", a phrase that, due to Jane's strong southern accent, Nicks misheard as "at the edge of seventeen". The riff for "Edge Of Seventeen" was sampled by Destiny's Child for their hit, "Bootylicious" (2001) and Nicks appeared in the video that accompanied the track. The A17 is almost constantly busy and carries far more traffic than it was designed for, including slow moving vehicles such as heavy goods vehicles, which are restricted to 50 mph on the single carriageway road, and many tractors which travel even slower. Despite several by-passes being built, taking the A17 around built up areas, the rate of accidents remains high, and seems to have always been above average, as a parliamentary report published in the "Hansard" in 1973 lists 35 accidents involving heavy goods vehicles during the previous four years just on the stretch between King's Lynn and the north western boundary of Norfolk.

Answer: Colorado Boulevard

"The Little Old Lady from Pasadena" was written by Don Altfeld along with Jan Berry and Roger Christian. The last lines of the chorus are "She drives real fast and she drives real hard she's the terror of Colorado Boulevard". The writers were inspired by a Dodge commercial starring Kathryn Minner as a little old lady who buys a Super Stock Dodge. In the song she races her Dodge with any takers. In 1964 The Beach Boys recorded the song live and included it on their 1964 "Beach Boys Concert" album. Thee Midniters had a single titled "Whittier Boulevard" in 1965. West Sunset Blvd and North Crescent Heights Blvd were referenced in the lyrics to the 1964 Jan and Dean hit "Dead Man's Curve".

13. If we listen to singer James Taylor's road song on his 1970 album, "Sweet Baby James," we will follow what kind of road?
