Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. 4 TUNE 8

Answer: fortunate

The number "four" plus "tune" plus "eight" sounds like "fortunate". "Fortunate" is another word for "lucky".
2. CCCC R

Answer: caesar

Several letter "Cs" plus the letter "R" sounds like Caesar, as in Julius Caesar, the famous Roman statesman who was assassinated in 44 BC.
3. DAY DAY E

Answer: daisy

Two "days" and the letter "E" sounds like "daisy". The daisy is a small flowering plant of the aster family.
4. ABCDEFGHIJKMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

Answer: noel

This is the alphabet with the letter "L" missing - in other words, it has "no L" or "noel". "Noel" is another word for Christmas and can also be a person's name.
5. THEDOWNDUMPS

Answer: down in the dumps

The word "down" in the middle of the words "the" and "dumps" gives the phrase "down in the dumps", which means to be depressed or unhappy about something. An example might be "I was down in the dumps because my girl-friend had dumped me".
6. NIGH

Answer: night without end

This is the word "night" without the final letter "t", giving "night without end" or "endless night".
7. GGSE

Answer: scrambled eggs

This is simply the word "eggs" in mixed form - in other words, "scrambled". Scrambled eggs are a popular breakfast dish (although can be enjoyed at other times of the day).
8. NO WAYS IT WAYS

Answer: no two ways about it

The word "No" followed by the word "Way" twice, with "it" in the middle, leads to the phrase "no two ways about it", which means there is no alternative.
9. JEOPARDY JEOPARDY

Answer: double jeopardy

The word "jeopardy" twice leads to "double jeopardy", a legal term which means that someone cannot be tried again for a crime having been acquitted on a previous occasion. It is also a 1999 film starring Tommy Lee Jones and Ashley Judd.
10. ________________________ E _________________________ _____________________________ L _________________________ _____________________________ K _________________________ _____________________________ C _________________________ _____________________________ U _________________________ _____________________________ B _________________________

Answer: buckle up

The word "buckle" written from the bottom up gives "buckle up", a phrase you might use when asking someone to fasten their seatbelt in a car.
