"A Hard Day's Night" was a hit for the Fab Four in 1964, topping both the US and UK charts.
The song was the title track of the movie of the same name. The title "A Hard Day's Night" came from a chance comment from Ringo after the group had worked through the day and into the evening.

The Beatles wrote the last verse of "Eleanor Rigby" at the recording session. The song featured on the 1966 "Revolver" album. "Eleanor Rigby" is unusual because the Beatles played none of the instruments on this one. A 1965 chart topper, "Yesterday" appeared on the Beatles "Help" album. This Paul McCartney composition has probably spawned more cover versions than any other pop song. The tune came to Paul while the group was in Paris, during European tour. "Yesterday" was given the working title "Scrambled Eggs" until he later wrote the lyrics while on vacation in Portugal.

Although credited to the Beatles this was a solo effort as Paul was the only member of the group member at the recording session.

This song was written by Paul McCartney in memory of his mother who died when her was 14 years-old. "Let It Be" featured on the 1970 album of the same name. It was the last album the Beatles recorded together. A chart topper in the US "Let It Be" peaked at #2 in the UK charts.
