CJ is Pepper's cousin. CJ is a female researcher for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. She is a good character in the book. She is helping Pepper find a man at the Faire. The initials CJ do not stand for anything.

Answer: Jousting competition

A pie-eating competition, a three-legged race and a discus-throwing competion were not events at the Renaissance Faire. At a Renaissance Fair people sell food and drinks, homemade crafts and other items. The entertainment that is at the Faire ranges from plays and singing to jousting. People dress up in period costumes.

When Farrell Kirkham is talking to Walker McPhail about rescueing Pepper, Farrell Kirkham uses Walker's name when he replies to Walker's question. Pepper was scooped up by Walker before she was crushed by Farrell and his horse. Walker is the one who is the leader of Three Dog Knights.

Team Joust! is the name of Farrell's company. The Palm Springs Jousting Guild is the name of Veronica's company. The Kings of Knights Company is not mentioned in the book. Walker is the leader of Three Dog Knights. Walker and a few other people from England formed the Three Dog Knights. The name was chosen because Walker has three dogs.

She is on Veronica's team, because she was trying to help Walker's team find out who was sabotaging them. Cassie is the name of the horse Pepper uses for practice with Walker. Farrell is the name of another jouster that is also competing. Veronica use to be married to Walker, but she left him for another man. Veronica wanted revenge on Walker because he hurt her love in a jousting match.

She also wanted to win the competition, and she figured it would be easier to win if she sabotaging Walker's team.

Answer: Walker's team

Walker's team was ahead of Farrell's and Veronica's teams in the standings. At the end of the book, Pepper mentions to Walker that they have a farm not a house, thanks to his winning the jousting competition. After Walker wins the competition, he goes home to england, where he has to pay English taxes on the winnings.
