Ajax is the first member of the the Shadow Zodiac to identify Joanna for what she is to become. This happens when she nears her third life cycle and begins to emit special pheromones.

Valhalla's restaurant is where Joanna and Ajax have their date that ends in his attack on her. Xavier Archer, who owns Valhalla, is also the man Joanna thought to be her father for her entire life. She finds out soon that this is not the case and Xavier cuts her off from inheriting anything from his estate.

Warren and other agents of the light seem to enjoy announcing their membership to Las Vegas Troop 175 throughout Joanna's adventures.

Answer: Oliva

Butch attacks Joanna at her sister Olivia's apartment. While trying to kill Joanna, he throws Olivia out a window to fall to her death. This gives her the anger and ability to turn Butch's conduit on himself and kill him. Joanna is essentially trapped into faking her own death and assuming Olivia's identity after Warren explains that she is the most likely suspect in her sister's murder.

This allows Joanna/Olivia to stay close to Xavier and the Tulpa who she discovers is closely tied with the man she once thought her father.

Answer: Archer

Warren reveals to Joanna/Olivia that she is the result of her mother's infiltration into the Shadow organization and the Tulpa's life. This makes her both Shadow and Light and creates suspicion around her from the first time she enters the Light's sanctuary. It is there that learns her mother was the Archer and that she now is to take her place and usurp Chandra.

Answer: Master Comics

Joanna/Olivia is sent to Master Comics to learn about her troop's history and just what her new life will entail. The Shadow and Light comics are only readable by their respective subjects and Joanna/Olivia is the only agent that read both sides' stories. It is with this that she hopes to bring down the Shadow Agents.

Answer: She gains the aureole

We learn that when an agent uses another's conduit, or weapon, to kill them that he or she gains the aureole. By turning their own weapon against them, one can gain the ability to walk the earth invisible - without scent or any way to track them. Joanna/Olivia uses this advantage more than once.

Answer: Carl

Through their own psychic abilities, Carl and Zane are able to create the comics that detail the battles between Shadow and Light. Though Zane writes out the story lines, Carl is one who actually draws out the scenes.

Answer: Kairos

The Kairos is a legend to both sides before Joanna/Olivia comes along. It's said that a person will be born with equal parts Light and Dark with the two constantly waring within them. This duel nature means that they won't have to bend to destiny and will have the ability to freely choose what path they walk.

This person will also be able to choose their allies, unbalancing the sides that were once equally matched. Their enemies would then be defeated through their strength. It is the discovery of this unique person, Joanna/Olivia, that marks the first sign of the zodiac and one side's (whether dark or light we have yet to discern) supremacy.

Answer: Joaquin

Joaquin committed the grievous crime that almost killed Joanna/Olivia as a teenager. It is this act, however, that comes to define her and give her strength. After her recovery, she hones her body into a weapon, determined to one day get revenge on the man who destroyed her innocence. We find out later that the Tulpa, Joanna's own father, ordered the attack in retaliation against her mother Zoe who infiltrated the Shadow's Organization.

He claims not to have known that she was his daughter when they finally talk.

Answer: Stryker

As a Shadow agent Joaquin has done more horrible things than even this author can probably come up with. Tekla, the light's Scorpio sign and seer, is seemingly driven mad by his murder of her son Stryker. It was during a ritual to pass on her sign to her son that Joaquin stuck. Following the attack Tekla first prophesied that there was a traitor in the light.

She is thought to be quite mad but we find out later that not all is as it seems....

Answer: Chandra

Chandra has trained her entire life to become the Archer. After Joanna/Olivia's discovery she looses that place because the signs are meant to be passed from an agent to his or her offspring. Seeing that Zoe was the last Archer that means that Chandra is out and Joanna/Olivia is in. Chandra becomes a rogue agent, a warrior without a troop, with Joanna's arrival creating an abundance of animosity between the two. Though the rest of the group may question Joanna's loyalty because of her duel nature, Chandra picks at her constantly picking fights and throwing out insults.

Answer: Greta

Chandra, because of her hatred for Joanna and bitterness at being usurped, and Joanna, because of her dual nature, seem to be the most obvious possibilities as traitors. It turns out to be someone perfectly placed to destroy the group from the inside out. Greta counsels all of the Light's agents, often hypnotizing them to gain access to their deepest fears and thoughts. During these sessions she manages to plant suspicions, perform devious acts, and discover the agent's secret identities. She also marks the agents while they are hypnotized with a special scent that only the Shadow can find.

She aides the Shadows in killing off ten members of the Light before Joanna/Olivia exposes her and how she's been betraying the whole troop. Joanna/Olivia also proves that Tekla is not crazy and Greta only had her drugged to stop her from telling the others that she was the traitor.

Answer: Hunter

Warren spends most of his time dressed as a bum, Chandra works in a chemical company where local businesses send their employees drug or DNA tests, and Vanessa is a reporter at the local paper who covers the crime beat. Though all of these agents are in excellent position to discover Shadow Agents, Hunter is the one who actually enters their domain.

He works security at Valhalla and uses that position to get Joanna/Olivia into the Tulpa's lair.

Answer: A being dreamed into existence by a powerful mind

The Tulpa was dreamed into existence by a man with an extremely powerful imagination and was subject to this man's wishes. This man has control over him until Zoe, in an attempt to weaken the Shadows, kills the master. Instead of weakening the Tulpa, he grows stronger - now free of the mind that created him. Neither Shadow or Light weapons harm him and both sides are at a loss for what his weakness may be.

It is said that the secret to killing him lies in one of the manuals that Carl and Zane's predecessors wrote. Since Joanna/Olivia can read both Shadow and Light manuals, an ability unique to her, her troop hopes to she can find the answer. Perhaps, being his daughter and her dual nature will enable her to do what no other has been able to do before her...kill the Tulpa and gain the Light's Supremacy.
