So, attracted to the Glass because of Septimus being "inside" it, SpitFyre smashes his way through the warehouse and finds the mirror inside a chest.

Jenna is horrified at what she's being served, and she quickly rescues her duckling and puts it in her tunic pocket. When she goes to thank the boy who serves her sauce, she's shocked yet again to find that it's Septimus, her missing brother!

Queen Etheldredda was whistling for her Royal Barge (so she could take Jenna to the Whirlpool of Bleak Creek), and the NightUllr couldn't stand the noise. So he leaped at Etheldredda, knocked the whistle from her lips, and pushed her into the river.

Snorri, who was chasing after Ullr, got lost on a riverbank and couldn't find her way back to the Great Chamber of Alchemie and Physik. Nicko developed feelings for her, and decided he couldn't leave her there and possibly never see her again. So he stayed.
