The Dollanganger series were her first books to write. She died right after the Casteel books were published.

All the rest of her books had multiple books included with them in a series. "My Sweet Audrina" was the only book left by itself.

"Music in the Night" was written from Laura's perspective in her diary. She talks about how her life was and how she regained memory of the boating accident.

V.C Andrews died in 1986 from cancer. She completed two series of books and had them published before her death. Since then, she has had a ghost writer making and completing her books.
