1. What is Gretchen Wilson's signature song?

Answer: Redneck Woman

This song was her first song and was very popular, spending five weeks at #1 on the Hot Country Songs chart and was the debut song off her first album, "Here for the Party", which topped US Country Charts in 2004 and reached #2 on the Billboard 200. The song "Here for the Party" was also successful, reaching #3 on the country chart. "Homewrecker" reached #2, while "All Jacked Up" hit #7 and came off her sophmore album of the same name (which reached #1).
2. What is Gretchen's daughter's name?

Answer: Grace

Gretchen had Grace with ex-boyfriend Mike Penner when she was 27. Her full name is Grace Frances Penner, her middle name is after Gretchen's grandma who greatly impacted her life. Amy is Gretchen's brother's wife's name, Vickie is Gretchen's aunt's name, and Christine is her mom's name.
3. What is the name of Gretchen's third album?

Answer: One of the Boys

The debut single off of "One of the Boys" is "Come to Bed". "One Bud Wiser" and "Not Bad for a Bartender" are both off the album "All Jacked Up". "When it Rains" is off of her debut album "Here for the Party".
4. Which famous country duo helped Gretchen into stardom?

Answer: Big&Rich

Big Kenny and John Rich (Big&Rich) stopped in on Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar to have a drink and to hear a good band people had been talking about. They heard Gretchen (who was also the bartender at the time) sing "Lady Marmalade" by Labelle and "I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Loved You)" by Aretha Franklin.

They were blown away and John walked up to talk to her. She blew him off at first, but after a month or two she called him back and they worked together to launch her career. Ever since Big&Rich and Gretchen have worked together and are good friends.
5. What group is Gretchen part of?

Answer: The MuzikMafia

John Rich and Big Kenny were tired of the frustrating standard business and the safe, mainstream choices that controlled most record deals. So they and two other people- Jon Nicholson and Cory Gierman- formed the loose association Muzik Mafia. Mafia stands for Musically Artistic Friends In Alliance.

They would get together on a regular basis and bounce songs off each other, write them, sing them, and play them. There they could get honest feedback from their friends. The group got bigger and bigger.

When Gretchen Wilson joined, she became the official "Godmother". The Muzik Mafia has helped many people's success. The other three choices are made-up (at least I think they are!).
6. Who was not one of Gretchen Wilson's musical influences?

Answer: They are all her influences!

Gretchen Wilson has a lot of other influences too. But I bet she is an influence to a lot of people out there also!
7. What song did Gretchen win a Grammy for best female country performance?

Answer: "Redneck Woman"

All of these songs are phenomonal, but "Redneck Woman" won the Grammy. "Politically Uncorrect" featured Merle Haggard. Also, the video for "When I Think About Cheatin'" was based on a real event when John Rich and Gretchen found the doors to the Ryman Auditorium open.

They went in and Gretchen sung Patsy Cline's classic, "Leavin' on Your Mind". The security guard waited until she finished the song before she tossed them out. Grace helped Gretchen pick out "I Don't Feel Like Loving You Today". They were riding to the store one day and when Gretchen put in the demo, Grace said "Mommy, I really love that song." Gretchen loved it too, so she recorded it!
8. Where is Gretchen's hometown?

Answer: Pocahontas, Illinois

She was born in Granite City, Illinois, although she lived in Pocahontas. Trace Adkins was born in Springhill, Louisiana, Alan Jackson in Newnan, Georgia, and Brad Paisley in Glen Dale, West Virginia. Gretchen Wilson has a song dedicated to Pocahontas, called "Pocahontas Proud" on her debut album, "Here for the Party".
9. Did Gretchen Wilson's debut album, "Here for the Party", break a country music record?

Answer: true

Yes. The album sold 800,000 CDs in less than a month, and experts claimed it was on its way of becoming the largest selling debut album in country music history, until Carrie Underwood from "American Idol" broke her record.
10. What is Gretchen Wilson's lucky number?

Answer: 27

There were many things that happened in Gretchen's life that related to 27. When she left Pocahontas the population was 727, her tour bus is named Bus 27, she was 27 when she had Grace, and she wears a dog tag with 27 on it,she has a 27 tattoo on her ankle, her first week of record sales was 227,000 units, and the first time she was in a foriegn place (not counting Canada) she saw a meat truck with a 27 on it, the date of that Opry "break-in" was Aug. 27, when she toured around the world in ten days it was 27,000 miles, and when she sang for the President at a fundraiser they raised $27,000,000. Wow.
