Better known for their earlier number one hits 'Blockbuster' and 'The Ballroom Blitz', Sweet began their career in 1968 under the name The Sweetshop. As they signed a record deal with the Fontana label another UK group released a single using the name Sweetshop forcing the band to change their name to The Sweet; as they progressed they dropped the 'definite article' from the name becoming Sweet.

Considering that Suzi Quatro was born in Detroit it is surprising that she was relatively unknown in the US achieving only one top ten hit.
