Answer: Arthur Wing Pinero

Sir Arthur Wing Pinero (1855-1934) spent five years as a supporting actor when he started writing revisions to plays. After that he wrote more than fifty plays. He was best known for his comedies but wrote serious plays too.

Ronnie Corbett was one of "The Two Ronnies" and acted in several television situation comedies. Rory Bremner is a Scottish comedian known for his acurate impressions. Mad-cap comedian Jerry Sadowitz was born in USA, but was brought to Scotland and raised in Glasgow by his mother when his parents split up. He is also a very highly thought of close-up magician.

G.K. Chesterton and John Buchan were contemporaries of Belloc, and Basil Temple Blackwood was an illustrator of some of his books.
