1. There was only one Hall of Fame player who played with both Hall of Famers Honus Wagner and Babe Ruth. Who was this pitcher that was a spitball specialist?

Answer: Burleigh Grimes

The spitball was a legal pitch in early baseball, but rules changes banned it in 1920. Grimes was 'grandfathered in' and was allowed to throw the spitter until he retired in 1934. He played with Wagner on the 1916 Pirates, and Ruth on the 1934 Yankees. Grimes was a Hall of Fame inductee himself in 1964.
2. Dealing with the Baltimore Orioles, there was only one 500 Home Run Club member that played with Oriole Hall of Famers Brooks Robinson and Cal Ripken Jr. Who is this former Oriole and Hall of Fame player?

Answer: Eddie Murray

Brooks Robinson was a career Oriole from 1955-1977, and Ripken was a career Oriole from 1981-2001. Murray's link was with Robinson in 1977, and with Ripken Jr in 1981. Murray played in 13 seasons with the Orioles and retired with 504 home runs. The hall inducted Eddie in 2003.

Roberts had a career record of 286-245, and also set a record by giving up 505 career home runs until that record was broken in 2010 by Jamie Moyer. Robin was inducted by the hall in 1976, and died in 2010.

Young pitched from 1890-1911, including 1901-1908 with the Boston Americans. Johnson was a career Washington Senator from 1907-1927. Speaker was the missing link. He played with Young in 1908 with Boston, then with Johnson on the 1927 Senators. Young was inducted with Speaker in 1937, and Johnson in 1936.

Carlton pitched for six different teams, and found Cepeda on the same roster with the 1966-1968 Cardinals. Cepeda was the 1958 NL Rookie of the Year, and won the NL MVP in 1967. He was inducted into the hall in 1999.

He played in 19 seasons and retired in 1904 as a New York Giant. The hall took Dan in 1945, 13 years after his death.
