Steve is in the process of dumping the "unflushable" Jane, and Patrick and Susan are ending their fling. Steve of course asks Susan out whilst in the middle of sex with Jane, as you do.

2. When Steve and Susan go to bed for the first time together, Steve is thinking of Mariella Frostrup, but who is Susan imagining?

Susan even thinks that Angus, naked in socks, would still be good, it is however Jeff's opinion that no self respecting woman would let a naked man in socks do the squelchy with her, such is the threat of the sock gap.
