Annie worked at Cholodecki's jewelry store. The store is important to the plot because Annie is fired from her job after arguing with a teenage customer (played by the daughter of Peter Frampton). The jewelry store filming took place on Mitchell Street in Milwaukee, on the 1000 block next to the Garden of Eden restaurant. Personal disclosure: my first job in politics was on that same block back in 1982, right across the street. Annie's apartment was located at 2501 South Kinnickinnick, which is right in the heart of Bayview, near KK and Homer. It is located about a block from the Bayview public library, and right across the street from the Avalon Theater. "Bridesmaids" tells the story of Annie Walker (Kristin Wiig) and her best friend Lillian (Maya Rudolph), who is getting married. Very little of the film was actually shot in Milwaukee, with Annie's Bay View apartment and the jewelry store on Mitchell Street the major exceptions. Most of the film was done in Los Angeles.

Johnny Depp got his start in "A Nightmare on Elm Street" (1984) but has since moved on to bigger things, including being Jack Sparrow in the "Pirate of the Caribbean" series, which earned him his first Academy Award nomination. Depp was also nomin ated for "Finding Neverland" (2005) and "Sweeney Todd" (2008). Depp got his first huge break on the police drama "21 Jump Street" (1987-1990).

Luther manages to get away, but not before he is spotted, at the last moment, by the Secret Service. A cover-up is then put in place by the White House, framing the unknown burglar for the murder. Luther, who still managed to steal a small fortune, does have one ace up his sleeve...he also managed to steal the incriminating letter opener. The problem he has is how to make use of it. Despite its all-star cast, which also included Ed Harris, Judy Davis, Scott Glenn, and Dennis Haysbert, the film had limited success at the box office. When Madame dictated her last will to Georges, Edgar listened in and he decided to get rid of the cats, hoping to be Madame's sole heir. So he "catnapped" them and left them outside Paris. But they met a ginger alley cat who introduced himself as "Abraham Delacey, Giuseppe Casey, Thomas O'Malley the Alley Cat". Now you know where the red herrings stem from. (Herrings and cats? A combination that goes well for the cats but not for the fish). Charles Lane voiced the notary Georges Hautecour, and Hermione Baddeley delivered the lines spoken by Madame. But the true protagonists were of course the cats: Duchess (voiced by Eva Gabor), O'Malley (spoken by Phil Harris), Marie (voice part by Liz English), Toulouse (spoken by Gary Dubin) and Berlioz (lines delivered by Dean Clark).

The bad guys were the ones in the Dodge Charger. The chase sequence begins on Army Street with two hitmen following Bullitt. After a few minutes, he manages to outmaneuver and get behind them. Once Bullitt is chasing the hitmen, the action revs up with a high speed chase all across San Francisco. The chase is a masterpiece of editing, with sequences shot all around the city woven into one consistent thread. The high speed chase starts at Chestnut street near the San Francisco Art Institute. It concludes with the bad guys overturning their car before plowing into a gas station, which explodes in a massive fireball. Other filming locations include Grace Cathedral Episcopal Church, Bullitt's apartment on Taylor Street, the Kennedy Hotel and the San Francisco Police Department. The film was shot from February 12 to May 25, 1968.

Early in his film career Bogart was often saddled with minor parts in poor films. "The Petrified Forest" brought him into the forefront, With some exceptions many of his films are considered classics such as "Casablanca", "The Big Sleep", "The Maltese Falcon", and "The Caine Mutiny". Katherine Hepburn was also selected as the best female star of film history by the American Film Institute. Like Bogart, she was born to an upper middle class family. A college graduate who had skill and the persona, she was a natural for the movies. During her 73 year acting career she garnered four Academy Awards and numerous other awards. Her soul mate was Spencer Tracy with whom she not only had a long term affair but made nine movies with. They never married, due to Tracy's Catholic faith. Noted Hepburn films include "Alice Adams", "Lion in Winter","On Golden Pond", "Suddenly Last Summer", "Bringing Up Baby", and "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner".
