Virginia and Tennessee were actually ratified after Arkansas and North Carolina joined. Mississippi joined on January 9, 1861.

The Federalist Party was the first to be founded in the United States. It was founded in 1789. The Democratic-Republican Party was the second and was founded in 1792. It was founded by Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. The party lasted until it split in 1824.
8. Who was the second man to walk on the moon?

Answer: Edwin Aldrin

Apollo 11 was the first manned lunar landing mission. The actual moon walk occured 20-Jul-1969. Neil Armstrong was the first to step out onto the moon and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin was the second. Michael Collins continued to orbit the moon while the other two crew members made the lunar excursion.
9. What was the name of the second Space Shuttle disaster?

Answer: Columbia

The Space Shuttle Challenger was the first disaster. It occured in January 1986 just after launch. The Space Shuttle Columbia disintegrated upon re-entry in February 2003. In both instances, all seven crew members aboard each vehicle were killed.
10. Per the 2006 US Census Bureau estimates, what was the second most populated city in the USA?

Answer: Los Angeles, CA

New York City was the most populated with an estimated 8.2 million people. Los Angeles had an estimated 3.8 million to take second place. Chicago and Houston were third and fourth largest respectively. It is noteworthy that these four cities are in different regions of the United States.
