On "King of the Hill", what does Boomhauer do for a living?

Throughout the series his occupation was unknown, and it was sometimes hinted that he was an electrician on worker's compensation. His occupation is finally revealed in the series finale, "To Sirloin With Love" (aired September 13, 2009). Leaving his wallet open on a dresser, a law enforcement badge is visible, revealing that he is a Texas Ranger. In the show, Boomhauer is also a talented artist, mechanic, surfer, race car, and limo driver. In one episode, it is implied that he receives favors from the various women with whom he sleeps.
