The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co is a public company listed on NASDAQ. Its 2014 Annual Report released Feb 2015 shows it has 16,543 shareholders. Its major shareholders are:

Goodyear is an American Tire (and blimp) company that is based in Akron, Ohio. It had a founder,as it progressed it gained stock holders and a CEO and President of the company. Once a company is this big, basically the stock holders own the company.
