How many hippos are there in Switzerland?

The Zoo Basel breed pygmy hippos. They have brought 53 hippos into the world since 1928 according to Wikipedia but these have been sent all over the world.

As to how many hippos are in Switzerland kind of hard to determine. The Zoo site does not give statistics on animals they have in it. Doubt if there are any hippos living in Switzerland outside of the Zoo Basel.

According to Zootierliste it is the only zoo in Switzerland that has hippos. The list counts 74 hippos since 1934, making Basel Zoo the most successful hippo breeder in the world.
