A woman named Gabriele inherited an "Eric Clapton - Live USA" album that her deceased husband had bought in 1986. This album was not an official release and when Gabriele tried to list it on eBay, the lawyers for Eric Clapton issued a takedown notice since the album was made without Clapton's consent. Gabriele initially refused to comply with the takedown order and was compelled to pay a $4,000 fine. Eventually Clapton's management team decided against forcing Gabriele to pay the $4,000 after all of the bad publicity around the incident.
