It is a well established fact that 'people' made landfall in mainland Australia long, long before 1606. In fact, some 50,000 to 65,000 years before. link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Australia

The question probably refers to evidence that non-indigenous people may have landed in Australia before the generally accepted date of 1606.
