    In Spanish, is gold 'oro' or 'dorado'?

    Oro is gold the element/metal. Dorado is gold the colour(or golden).

    ORO is the noun for 'gold' (in all {senses);} DORADO is the past participle from the verb DORAR = 'To gild' and therefore means 'gilded' or 'golden'
