No insult intended, but isn't Mochyn the Welsh word for a pig or is that another similar word?

Question #34923. Asked by gmackematix. (Jun 05 03 12:32 PM)

    mochyn

Indeed Mochyn means PIG, I love pigs

    Stew

    Thought so, mochyn.

Would an ignorant Englishman pronounce it (roughly) 'mokh'n'?

When I was little my mum (who grew up in Wales) used to call me that on suitable occasions, usually followed by a word which sounded to my untrained ear like 'biddi', and which I took to mean 'dirty' or some other piggish attribute.
