The cat walks or runs by moving the front and back legs on one side, and then the front and back legs on the other side. The camel and the giraffe are the only other animals that move in this way. Other four-legged animals move the left front leg at the same time as the right hind leg, and their right front leg with the left hind leg.

In addition all cats walk on the tips of their toes, not on the soles of their feet. The Giraffe and Camel are the only known animals that walk on the tips of their toes similar to cats according to link http://www.thedailycat.com/behavior/understanding/cats_walking/index.html

Well, all ungulates really walk on the tips of their toes. The hoof evolved out of what used to be the toenail on a prehistoric ungulate.

Don't horses walk alternating left and right legs when pacing as opposed to trotting?

Most mammals walk on their toes (digitigrade motion) such as cats, dogs, all ungulates as mentioned and the weasel family.
Walking on the whole foot like bears or humans is called plantigrade motion.
