Why did Sipsey cover the picture on the wall and stop the clock when Ruth died in Fried Green Tomatoes?

    Question #63600. Asked by hillbillyarkie.

You will have bad luck if you do not stop the clock in the room where someone dies. Reflective surfaces in a house with a corpse should be covered or the person who sees himself will die next.

This is a wonderful book by Fannie Flagg. The film takes rather a lot of liberties but is wonderful in its own way too. If you haven't read it, do so!
