At the beginning of the film, Jiminy Cricket plainly says that Pinnochio is made from oak.

Anyone want to argue with an insect? LOL!!

I'll argue with a cricket. Pinocchio was made out of pine wood. In fact, the name Pinocchio means 'pine eyes' or 'pine head'.

Original Question:
What kind of wood was Pinocchio made from?

Trivia about today’s trivia: Is he oak or pine?

In the original book that Disney based the movie on by Carlo Collodi (born Carlo Lorenzini) the “Oak” Fairy and the cricket both call Pinocchio a boy of oak.

In the Disney version Jiminy Cricket calls him a boy of oak.
But, the "Blue" Fairy calls him a boy of pine.
But, Geppetto makes him from a piece of enchanted oak per the story.

In the Saban version of the cartoon all characters refer to him as oak and Geppetto makes him from a fallen oak branch.

Pinocchio is Italian for “pine eyes” but pine is a soft wood and this could have been chosen as his name to imply he had soft eyes, as he was kindhearted and grew a branch from his nose if he lied.

Funny enough European Oak and Italian Stone Pine both grow in Italy.

It is also thought that Carlo Collodi wrote the book based on the biblical life of young Jesus of which there are references to Joseph being a carpenter like Geppetto and God being the Great Oak of which man was made.

Being the Disney version is a remake and the original work by the original author refers to him as oak I am going with oak as the answer.
