Is there a male equivalent for the female term "shrew"?

I'm not convinced that there is a precise equivalent. "Shrew," for a shrill, nagging, overbearing woman, has been used, fairly or not, to describe behavior that is traditionally associated ONLY with women. There are other behaviors associated only with men, but they do not involve shrillness or nagging.

The nearest equivalent is calling a male an 'old woman', which doesn't have all the connotations of shrew but is the closest I can come up with. And I do know that it's sexist. I don't use it.
