    What is the only bone in the human body that is NOT connected to another bone? In fact, it is solely supported by the muscles in the neck.

    		The only bone in the human body not connected to another is the hyoid. It is suspended by some of the ligaments and muscles of the neck and in turn supports the root of the tongue.

    		The hyoid bone is located just above the thyroid cartilage ("the Adam's apple").
