    		The Sons of the Pioneers continued their popularity through the 1950s. Although Rogers was no longer a member, they often appeared as Rogers' backup group in films and on TV.

    WHO AM I... Born in the usa, one of two children whose father was an accomplished musician and producer. I grew up around music and could play the piano as a young teenager. My father recognised my singing talent and encouraged me to concentrate on singing. He sent a demo tape to the group I would eventually join. Liking what they heard they sent me a song to record for another demo (which would later be a #1 hit for us). Growing up, I was always a bit of a rebel which was evident recently when I made an outspoken political comment that caused a bit of a furore.
