    Question #94011. kartguy5 asks:

What is a group of seals called?

    neelie_447

A group of seals is called a herd.

    http://encyclopedia.farlex.com/Seal+(animal)

This site lists bob, colony, crash, harem, herd, pod, rookery, spring, and team.

There are also thousands of references to "flocks of seals" on the internet. Hard to say what is correct when you are not originally English speaking.

Interesting that neelie 447's second list does not mention "flock".

Maybe the references I found were written by Scandinavians? In Scandinavian languages, for example Norwegian, the word "flokk" covers most animals, although we do have other alternative names, for example for cattle.

A group of seals can also be referred as a herd, pod, or rookery of seals, according to dj168's reference.

According to this web site, spring or pod are the plural nouns for seals.
