First pet - Animals Message Board

My first pet was a tuxedo cat named Kookie. I was 10 years old and he was such a joy. As it would be, many years later I raised another tuxedo cat , but this time I named him Sylvester because he sure looked like the cartoon character.

A dog called Rebel. He went everywhere with me on school holidays but had to be left for long periods on his own when I went back. My mum and dad used to pick me up from school at lunchtime and my dad used to give him a quick walk at the park. He demolished my mum and dad's house though out of sheer boredom and he was so highly strung that he bit a few people, including me and my dad. A guy who was looking for house number fell foul of him too but Reb was just protecting his property the vet said and he got a reprieve. It became too much for my mum and dad once I got married and they had him put to sleep. My dad cried buckets, so did my mum and me. I know that I will meet him again in the afterlife and I know that he is there now with my mum and dad who loved him but couldn't keep him.

The first one that I remember is a Cocker Spaniel named Sandy. He was very special to me and my brothers and sisters.

The first pet I had that I became very attached to was my cat Nikki. We got her for a Christmas present in 1994 and kept her to January of this year. She ran away and I miss her very much. She was gray and cute with a loud meow one could here from a mile away.

I also believe I will see Nikki in heaven. She was so cute and I loved her so much. I will never forget her especially if I dream about her alot.

We always had animals growing up, but my first pet on my own is my grey, slightly striped cat named Spot.

My family had various dogs and cats when I was a kid but they weren't MINE. I got my first dog when I was in my later 20s, an Irish Setter. Have had at least one about the place ever since.

The first pets that belonged to me and were not family were a cat and a dog. Bootsie the cat and prince the dog. I will never forget them.

My first pet was a brown dog named Charlie Brown & when I was little he jumped out of the window then try to catch up with us. Then he was hit by a car. Of course my favorite pet was my first cat named Snowball that I raised from a kitten. He died when I was in the tenth grade.

My first pet was a dog named Harley (she was a girl... I didn't name her, my dad did) and she was a mutt that my parents got from the pound before I was born. She had the softest fur of any dog I've ever pet to this day.

My first personal pet was a guinea pig named Rosie. She was adorable, and lived to be five or six years old. I was so sad when she died... :-(

According to my parents, my first pet was a little black cat named Tinker. I don't remember Tinker at all because I was only two at the time. When I was three, I was evacuated from Birmingham to Wales and Tinker stayed in Birmingham with my parents. He was killed in a bombing raid.

In Wales, my pets were my frandmother's tabby cars Fluff and Buttons, and my aunt's Scottie, Judy.

The first pet of my own that I remember was a distinguished bkue-grey short hair cat with white socks and a white jabot whose name was Dusky.

My first pet. one I can't remember and have only heard about, was a honey-colored cocker spaniel named Tinka. She liked to sun in the street, so the inevitable happened. She made it to the front porch, threw herself against the door to let us know she was there, then expired.

Years later, I had a white Persian, Minya, who had one blue eye and one green eye. She liked to sun in the street, so the inevitable happened. We took her to the vet, but to no avail.

I take my sun in the yard.
