Going w/ a former TO teammate (that's my quarterback, or was) - Tony Romo. He's off to a rough start. Team-wise, the Redskins have been an embarrassment, lucky to have won the games they've won. Too much money spent on personnel (players and coaches alike) for such little results. You could make the same statement about the Bills, their offense can't seem to get on the same page. The TO time bomb is ticking....... Reply #1. Oct 09 09, 11:30 AM |

Tony Romo catches a lot of flak but I still think he has what it takes. And he has a lot of talent on the team to help him. And as I don't like the Pats, I am not broken hearted to see that they are having a rough start also. If you had Randy Moss on your fantasy football team he has not been a big help. Reply #2. Going 3-1 is a rough start for the Pats? Maybe for Fantasy leagues because Brady and Moss don't look like the 2007 version of themselves but as a team they look decent even with losing many key defensemen in the off-season. I think T.O. has passed his prime but I wouldn't call him washed up he's just on a lousy team. Look at Moss in Oakland he looked terrible there but then he shows up to New England with Brady he becomes the best reciever in the league. A wide reciever can only look as good as his quarterback and Trent Edwards in Buffalo isn't as good of a quarterback as Jeff Garcia, Donovan McNabb, or Tony Romo. I guess to me the biggest letdown is the Tennessee Titans, they go from 13-3 to 0-4 right now. Their defense really misses Haynesworth and it shows. Reply #3. Oct 09 09, 1:05 PM |

I agree 3-1 is not bad but I don't think the Pat's play is as dominant as it used to be. My favorite team is Denver and they are 4-0 but I certianly don't expect to see them in the superbowl. I do have agree that Tennessee does'nt look like the same team this year. Neither does Arizona. Reply #4. Oct 11 09, 9:41 AM |

Welcome to the NFL, the land of parity. This has been going on for a while now. Good teams turn bad over night and vice versa. Reply #5. Oct 11 09, 11:52 AM |

Get ready for T.O. to start laying the blame down. The Bills just lost to the previously winless Cleveland Browns. That has got to be the biggest letdown for them this season. The biggest so far though, has to be the Titans. Reply #6. Oct 11 09, 2:11 PM |

Even more letdowns for the Titans. Still winless following an epic blowout in New England. Losing 59-0 has to sting. Tom Brady even broke an NFL record in the second quarter against them, throwing 5 touchdown passes in one quarter. Reply #9. Oct 19 09, 10:57 AM |

It hurts to watch Tennessee this year. The game in London should be a mess. The Pat's are going to make the Buc's look even worse than they make themselves look and that is hard to do. I wish they had chosen a better game to send to Europe. Way to go Raiders. You looked good this week... Reply #10. Oct 19 09, 9:41 PM |

I agree, Tampa Bay vs. New England does seem like an odd game to send to London. Maybe this game will be a disapointment for the league. It's like the NFL is hoping for a blowout. Maybe they think a 59-0 type of blowout will increase the sport's popularity in Europe. I doubt it will. At least it's not Cleveland vs. Tampa Bay, lol. Reply #11. Oct 19 09, 9:52 PM |

For me, personally, Washington. I'm a die-hard Skins fan, and it's been a bit of a nightmare the last few years. Even with today's win against Denver, the Skins are too far out of it to be a factor. Reply #13. Nov 15 09, 5:59 PM |

Tony Romo is a hometown boy - I have to cheer for him. Brett Whats-His-Name joining the Vikings was a huge letdown for me. Reply #14. Nov 15 09, 6:30 PM |

Checking back to my comments from October, I had said the Titans were the biggest letdown. Well now that certainly is not the case. Ever since QB Kerry Collins was benched and Vince Young was returned to the starting job, Tennessee has won 5 in a row. After losing 6 straight, everyone wrote them off, their season was as good as done and there was no way they were making the playoffs. Now it looks like they have a great shot at making the post-season. And aside from the Colts and the Saints, the Titans are the hottest team in the league. Maybe Vince Young should have been starting from week 1. And Chris Johnson, their running back, is having a hell of a year. He's already rushed for over 1400 yards, and there is still 5 games left. If he keeps up that pace, he's got a shot at breaking the single season record for yards rushed. Another nice surprise is the Bengals. They are having an unexpectedly good season, and in the process have defeated the reigning Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers, not once, but twice! That being said, at this point of the season, I say Pittsburgh is the biggest letdown. They've lost several games to teams they should have beat. They are still doing better than teams like Cleveland, Tampa Bay, and St. Louis, but nobody expected much from those teams anyway. Reply #15. Nov 30 09, 10:03 PM |

I think after watching the Pats play the Saints that New England my be the biggest let down. Reply #16. Dec 01 09, 6:54 AM |

I wouldn't say New England is the biggest letdown. They are still a top team in the AFC East. Sure, they would love to win every game of the season like they did a couple years back, but that's impossible to do every year. And honestly, this is kind of a rebuilding year for them. Look at their defense, they have practically no one left from their Superbowl victories. And they trade Richard Seymour right before the season starts to Oakland for a future first round draft pick. Sounds to me like they are banking on the future. And to steal something I heard on the t.v., the Patriots would rather trade someone too early and get more value for them, instead of waiting too long and not getting enough value for a player, or possibly losing a player to free agency and not getting anything for them at all. The Patriots are a let down? Huh? I must need glasses. I know I couldn't have read that right. Reply #18. Dec 01 09, 7:24 PM |

What I meant when I said that Pat's might be a let-down was that if you are a Pat's fan (which I am not) you may have gotten used to having a better season than they have had this year. There are a lot of teams out there who would be thrilled to have the Pat's record this year(Tampa Bay). No team stays on top forever. I just thought they looked worse than I expected when they played New Orleans. Reply #19. Dec 02 09, 9:00 AM |

Okay, I see what you mean. I am a Pats fan, but a realistic one. Yes, their performance against the Saints was lackluster. But I also don't feel too much shame about losing to a team that looks like it may go 16-0 this year. Another team having a worse season than expected: the New York Giants. It seems that Eli may have been playing injured, and that may explain some of their troubles. But they can't be pleased with their record right now, after the good start they got off to. Reply #20.
