The rumour in Liverpool is that Steven Gerrard will be leaving the team. He wants to win a championship medal before he gets to old to join a top team. Under erratic manager Rafael Benitez it does not seem possible at Liverpool and he himself could be on his way out if Liverpool do not finish in the top 4 in the league this season. My money is on a move to Chelsea, a team he nearly went to a couple of years ago. Do you think he will go and to which team?

Hasn't she already tried that? And got laughed out of court? :))

What she tried to do was Registar the name Posh as a trademark and if successful would have sued Peterborough United for breach of trademark.

The courts saw sense and said posh off mrs beckham

I rather think that Peterborough United, who formed in 1934, have used the name "Posh" long before Mrs Beckham first "graced" the world and would be more entitled to sue HER than vice-versa!

The owners of the Boston Red Sox and Liverpool FC have just spent $302 million on two players for the Red Sox. I hope we can expect the same level of spending on new Liverpool players in January. We need at least 4 top players please Santa with Gerrard and Carragher spending more time off the pitch these days. We may need a new manager too, I will get back to you on that.

You heard it here first, Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson to go and Kenny Dalglish to take over as caretaker manager with the possibility of taking the job on a permanent basis.

Never saw that coming - perhaps Hodgson will take over from Grant at West Ham - he seems to do better with London clubs.

Dalgleish is a bit of a kneejerk reaction but couldnt do any worse.

King Kenny can turn round the Kops Fortunes as long as the referees do not cheat like webb did yesterday. Just spokjen to a local referee frined of mine that says it is well known that Webb is a man utd supporter, shame on the FA for appointing him

To quote the wonderful David Elleray, "We may be useless but we do not cheat!" Whenever I'm called a cheat, I think of Mr. Elleray. :)

I thought he got the penalty decision wrong but Liverpool had 89 minutes to equalise and didn't.

Gary, your last post is the biggest load of cack I've read on the Sport Board for quite some time. Do you seriously think that a referee could rise to the very top of the international tree by cheating? Or favouring one team/club over all others? Take a step back, and try to look over your own prejudices. Howard Webb is no Jack Taylor, but he's still one of the best around at the moment.

As to 'King Kenny',I too wish him well. With the squad he has available to him,he's going to need it! Along with about £200 Million. Thanks again,Rafa!

Jonno, thanks for the Elleray quote - one of the few things he got right in his refereeing career. But I'm glad you're a 'funny-shaped ball ref' and not a Football ref. Whether it was a penalty or not,and I think it was,Agger deserved to be punished for making such a poor, lazy challenge in that position, with Berbatov moving away from the goal. What a muppet!

Anybody anything to say about Saint Steven's dismissal? Come on,you've had two weeks to conjure up an excuse now! Or was Webby 'cheating' again? Did he make Gerro do a pretty poor impression of a Spitfire pilot? With a Me109 up his bum? :))

Calm down RED, watch your blood pressure. Gerrard deserved to be sent off and I gave up getting heated about penalties and other decisions. You win some, you lose some.

Torres will be a Chelsea player by this time tomorrow. He has a clause in his contract that states if a club offers £50m or more he can leave. I hope we have a plan B.

PHEW! What a sickener. I thought Liverpool had bought Saurez to play WITH Torres, not INSTEAD of. Shame. Could have been an interesting partnership.

Latest from my mole at Anfield, Torres will be arriving at Chelsea by helicopter later today for his 30 pieces of silver. I think it has just flown over my house on it's way, sorry false alarm it was the police chasing the Russian Mafia. The chopper will then be going up to Newcastle to pick up Andy Carroll after Liverpool increase their offer. They only offered £30m for him because they needed some money left to buy the extra large kit he will need. They have now found sponsors for it.

Lol, Charlie Adam will be next but Ian Holloway insists Liverpool buy his vast stock of Blackpool rock left over from the summer first.

Happy now,Bernie? One injury-prone,'play-when-I-feel-like-it' sulking striker out - two hungry young guns, with an appetite to prove themselves,in. For about the same money, too. Good business, methinks!

Are they the new 'Little and Large'? Wait a minute.......Luis......Lou.......Andrew.......Andy.......You've got Lou and Andy up front! "Yeah/ Know".........:))

Lol, happy? I'll be happy if Liverpool finish higher than Chelsea this year. Trust 'arry to pull a fast one and sneak in for Adam, the chopper must have run out of juice or it was siphoned off.

Bernie,I can almost feel your beaming smile from here! Did you see Torres trot off the pitch with his tail between his legs? Looked like he was about to cry. :))

Oh,and thanks for beating Chelsea. Makes life even easier for United. :)))

Oh Yes! I don't care what happens for the rest of the season now :) Torres coming off and Liverpool winning at Chelsea, how good can it get :) The word is King Kenny will be offered the post permanently now.
