The rumour in Liverpool is that Steven Gerrard will be leaving the team. He wants to win a championship medal before he gets to old to join a top team. Under erratic manager Rafael Benitez it does not seem possible at Liverpool and he himself could be on his way out if Liverpool do not finish in the top 4 in the league this season. My money is on a move to Chelsea, a team he nearly went to a couple of years ago. Do you think he will go and to which team?

The owners of the Boston Red Sox and Liverpool FC have just spent $302 million on two players for the Red Sox. I hope we can expect the same level of spending on new Liverpool players in January. We need at least 4 top players please Santa with Gerrard and Carragher spending more time off the pitch these days. We may need a new manager too, I will get back to you on that. Reply #164. Gary,your last post is the biggest load of cack I've read on the Sport Board for quite some time. Do you seriously think that a referee could rise to the very top of the international tree by cheating? Or favouring one team/club over all others? Take a step back,and try to look over your own prejudices. Howard Webb is no Jack Taylor,but he's still one of the best around at the moment. As to 'King Kenny',I too wish him well. With the squad he has available to him,he's going to need it! Along with about £200 Million. Thanks again,Rafa! Latest from my mole at Anfield, Torres will be arriving at Chelsea by helicopter later today for his 30 pieces of silver. I think it has just flown over my house on it's way, sorry false alarm it was the police chasing the Russian Mafia. The chopper will then be going up to Newcastle to pick up Andy Carroll after Liverpool increase their offer.
