The rumour in Liverpool is that Steven Gerrard will be leaving the team. He wants to win a championship medal before he gets to old to join a top team. Under erratic manager Rafael Benitez it does not seem possible at Liverpool and he himself could be on his way out if Liverpool do not finish in the top 4 in the league this season. My money is on a move to Chelsea, a team he nearly went to a couple of years ago. Do you think he will go and to which team?

Just coming in on the tail end of this question but no way will Chelsea even attempt to sign him, he's too old. I think he will anchor at 'pool and hope some half decent signings are made. Going by what i've read on teletext, looks like Rafa is there 'til they sack him or offer him a get out. Well we have nothing to do till next season now. Anfield will be for hire for weddings and garden fetes on european nights next season. If Benitez goes to Juventus he will have more chance of winning the English Premier than if he stays at Liverpool. Reply #48. May 02 10, 10:53 AM |

Well,that's the Mackems sorted! If Manuel goes to Juve,he'll still have as much chance of winning the Premier League as he would if he stayed at Anfield. Hi Gilli, thanks for keeping him under control. You know what these Utd pretenders to the throne are like. Get back to me when you have won more league titles and European cups. All that we need is the chosen one at Anfield next season or perhaps a higher being, Kenny, might come back, half a dozen good players, no Americans and Bob's yer uncle, back on top again and 20 league titles, no probs.
